Homeware Haul and Review! Beauty Bloggers Favourites

Homeware Haul and Review! Beauty Bloggers Favourites

So I haven’t done this sort of post before at all, but I personally love reading and watching homeware hauls from other bloggers and You-Tubers. It’s something a bit different, but hopefully you’ll like it and get a bit of an insight into the sort of things I like for the home (and maybe provide you with a little bit of inspiration if you’re thinking of doing a homeware shop any time soon!)

All four items have been purchased within the last week and a half, so they should be fairly well stocked in any of your local stores. I only visited two shops, TK Maxx and Homebase, both of which I love for all manner of things, not least their home sections which are just amazing for picking up really unique and one-off looking pieces.

So without further a do I’ll jump into it and I introduce my first new addition to the kitchen; the good old beauty-bloggers fave….a white milk jug vase.

Damn these things are popular on social media! I’ve been wanting one for ages after seeing so many pretty photos posted of them from some of my favourite bloggers and YouTubers. They just look so chic and minimal, whilst serving a practical purpose at the same time by actually being a vase. This particular one which I picked up from Homebase features a pretty little heart embossed on one side. It’s good quality, sturdy and and is a perfect size for a window sill (not too big or too small). I think that tulips never fail to look good in this type of vase and the contrast between the green leaves and white ceramic is so pretty. Can highly recommend if you’re after something like this! It cost £5.99.

Next up from Homebase was another little bargain which I saw and couldn’t resist, especially after looking at the price. This is a metallic/rose gold large candle holder which, of course, I have used as a new brush holder. Typical cliche beauty blogger favourite yet again. Although I haven’t caved and got THE Ikea plant pots. Yet…..

The candle holder is a beautiful design, sort of ridged around the outside with little dark flecks and has a nice bright silver interior whilst as I mentioned earlier, the main exterior colour is a gorgoeus matallic rose gold. It’s a brilliant size and height for brushes, from big fluffy powder ones right down to little lip and eye shadow brushes. The holder’s capacity is fab and again, I’m really impressed with the quality of this, not least because it cost just £1.99 from Homebase. Literally cannot go wrong for that price. Looks a lot more expensive than what it cost in my opinion.

The third product I picked up was from TK Maxx, and is a cute little artificial flower in a glass vase. Again, a firm favourite with beauty bloggers home ware choices is artificial flowers and plants. They always seem to add a little extra to an Instagram picture. I’m quite torn between real and fake flowers, as I love buying fresh bunches.

I think you can’t beat real ones for certain settings like in the kitchen window (that’s why the milk jug vase was bought in the first place to be honest), but for other places of the house like a dressing table or office desk, I think that the right sort of artificial plant or flower can look stunning, but guess it’s down to personal preference.

This little fella is currently sitting on my dressing table, and I’m chuffed at getting him for only £3.99 from TK Maxx.

Last but by no means least, and yet another favourite within the beauty blogging world is the humble notepad. It’s a little strange when you think that in this tech-dominated age we live in today there’s still a need for paper notepads; and I agree to an extent, but I think there’s a lot to be said for physically writing things down sometimes. And if you’re going to write, then you may as well write in some style! TK Maxx have got a gorgeous range of stationary which obviously changes quite a lot, but I’m sure there’ll be a lot of these in stock at plenty of stores.

First up I just love that quote. It’s so empowering and in my favourite shade of gold which I think looks beautiful against the natural card of the front cover. It has a beautiful pattern to the back and the paper inside is also good quality and with purple ruled lines. This was also £3.99 from TK Maxx, and I think it’s well worth the money for such a quality (and cute) notebook.

So that’s my little round up of homeware bits and bobs! I really hope you enjoyed it as I loved writing this one and setting up the flat-lays, taking the photos etc.

My next post will be back on usual ground with reviews of a few new make up items I bought last week and have been liking quite a lot, so watch this space, and I’ll be back soon xx
