The New Look Slogan Jumper

The New Look Slogan Jumper

I don’t really do fashion posts. I’m not brave enough to stand in the street and have photos taken of me, and I don’t exactly consider myself to be the most stylish of people. But I recently posted a photo on Instagram of a New Look slogan jumper and the response has been really nice – so I thought I’d share a few more photos.

New Look have been riding a bit of a popularity wave lately with bloggers and instagrammers wearing their clothes, especially their slogan t-shirts and jumpers. I used to wear slogan tops when I was a teenager, but they would have some pretty questionable slogans (One I remember really well from Mark One said “So many boys, so little time…” – what the hell was all that about?! I think I was only 13 or 14 at the time…)

Thankfully slogans on tops have become a little less inappropriate, and New Look especially have embraced the whole ’empowered woman’ concept and reflected that in their clothing.

Actually I CAN New Look slogan jumper

The jumper which I posted on Instagram is this thin-knit, baby pink little number, with the words, ‘actually, I CAN’ across the front in black calligraphy and capitals. It’s so simple, and yet so sweet at the same time.

Little wonder that it’s currently out of stock as it’s been doing the rounds on all the social media lately. There’s nothing particularly special about the jumper if I’m being honest with you – it’s fairly thin, average quality for high-street, and fits true to size. I think it’s the more the fact that this jumper has been seen on some high-profile bloggers that has made its desirable status more so than usual.

But there IS something about that slogan which has captured people’s attention. I guess it’s just a little more inspirational than others. And sometimes, it’s the little things that can make a big difference.

The New Look slogan jumper has been reduced to £12.00 (feeling slightly annoyed about that as I paid full £19.99 for it not too long ago but c’est la vie), and is available to buy here, although it’s currently out of stock.
