Valentines Day Make Up: Review of Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick in Naughty Nude & 60 Seconds Super Shine Nail Polish in Lose Your Lingerie

I can’t believe that Valentines Day is one week today. January feels like such a long month, it just drags on and on, but then before you know it, BAM it’s February, and Valentines has sprung out of nowhere! (Although I have seen cards in some shops from right after Christmas to be honest)….Onto Valentines Day make up cheap jerseys ideas then, and a little review of a couple of Year. products I bought last week and have been loving.

Obviously it completely depends on what you’re actually getting up to on the day itself, whether that be a nervous first-date, or a date-night with your partner of more years than you care to remember. Or you might even be single and just wearing make up for no-one else except your self (and there’s nothing wrong with that – if you can’t wear make up for yourself then who can you wear it for?!)

To be honest I’ve never gone for a full-on make up “look” on Valentines. And I’ll even be slightly more honest in admitting that I still don’t own any fancy eye shadow palettes which any beauty blogger worth her salt has at least one of in her collection (Urban wholesale Minnesota Vikings jerseys Decay, Too Faced and Charlotte Tilbury are all on the wish list, along with a ton of Mac stuff).

Something I always love wearing though is nail polish and lipstick, and I found a gorgeous pair which compliment each other so nicely, and have suitably saucy names for Valentines. They’re also both high street and therefore at a good price point, so it’s a win-win.

Rimmel The Only 1 Lipstick in Naughty Nude

I think I’m right in saying that this is one of Rimmel’s newest releases. Their lip products in general are without doubt one of the best on the high street in my opinion, and their range of colours, formulations and prices are seriously good. Anyone reading this who cheap MLB jerseys loves 107 will know what I mean when I say that they make a knock-out matte red.

Recently though I’ve had more Poland of a thing for nudes, and so when I spotted this colour (and in turn saw the cheeky name), I just had to buy it. I’ve been wearing it pretty much everyday since I bought it, and I think it’s fair to say that I like it rather a lot. The black plastic packaging is nice; nothing particularly special but it does the job, and one thing I do like is the stick’s shade wrapped around the bullet. It’s always handy as a quick reference when you’re in a rush and want to know what colour you’re after.

The colour itself is really pretty. A very warm nude I would say, but more of a brown-plummy pink with the slightest of shimmer, but Video is barely noticeable on the lips. Its formulation is lovely and applies very well, whilst the pigmentation packs a pretty punch too. Moisturising and long-lasting, I think this stayed put for a good 4-6 hours before I needed to reapply.

It’s one of those shades which just goes with pretty much anything. Any shade of eyeshadow, whether it be smoky or nude, and is flattering to most skin tones. Definitely going to be a staple in my bag from now on I think. It is £6.99 and available from all your usual places, Boots, Superdrug etc.

Another bit of Valentines Day make up which is arguably one of the easiest and most accessible items to source is a nail polish. I’m not a ‘girly girl’ to be Victor honest, and am usually more comfortable wearing a dark red varnish than something super sweet and pink, but after picking up the lipstick during my little Boots trip last week I saw this shade and thought it looked beautiful.

Rimmel certainly like their cheeky names don’t they?..This particular polish was in part of a collaboration with Rita Ora apparently though, so that probably explains the risqué label. ‘Lose Your Lingerie’ is a baby pink that looks so good when applied properly. And what I mean by that is that there’s no room for errors with this sort of shade. Where as with some other colours you can get away with the odd smudge here wholesale NFL jerseys or a slightly bumpy nail there, this is the sort of polish that is super unforgiving and has to be applied perfectly. It’s like the make up equivalent to wearing a white dress I suppose.

Saying that though, once it’s on the nails it looks gorgeous, and two coats make it super opaque. It’s a very light candy floss pink, and whilst it’s not what I would usually go for, I’ve found myself reaching for this one more than my other polishes lately. A very flattering shade that again, like the lipstick, would suit just about anybody’s skin tone in my opinion, and well worth the money.  It costs £3.70, but there always seems to be some kind of offer or another happening with Rimmel so you might be lucky and grab yourself a bargain.

So that’s my little Valentines Day make up review and thoughts done and dusted for this post. I hope you enjoyed it and if you did then please go and give me a follow on either Instagram or Bloglovin; support is a wonderful thing!
