I’ve been a fan of the Tili beauty boxes right from the very first one that they brought out back in August last year. (Check out that post here). Now I know that I almost always say this when I review one of their boxes, but I do think that the Tili September beauty box is one of their best yet.
For a start the hot pink packaging of this box is beautiful, but it’s the contents which has got me really excited, as there are products from the likes of Rituals, Tarte, Elemis, and Bare Minerals to name just a few.
I’ve used most of the products pretty frequently since I got the box just over a week ago, and so I thought I’d share with you my highlights…
Favourites from the Tili September Beauty Box
This foaming shower gel from Rituals is really lovely. It has a beautiful fragrance of rice milk and cherry blossom which is subtle and pretty, and foams up a real treat in the shower. A little goes a long way too, so I think that this 50ml can will see me through for quite a while yet. My first body product from Rituals and I’m very impressed with them.
Next up is an almond oil from L’Occitane which comes in one the cutest little bottles I’ve ever seen. I love the retro-style packaging and the oil itself smells SO nice. I’m always a bit sceptical with oil products as I’m worried that they will be too, well, oily, but this is quite a dry oil which sinks into the skin very easily and doesn’t leave you feeling greasy. Win Win.
The third product that I’ve loved using is from a brand I hadn’t heard of before, and it’s the Pink Gel Coat from Perfect Formula. I’m always on the hunt for a good base coat and I’ve been loving this polish as it brightens the nails with a very pale pink shade whilst keeping them nice and strong thanks to the gel formulation. Perfect Formula recommend applying this once a week for tough nails and that’s what I’ll continue to do….
This little perfume from Shay and Blue is fast becoming my new favourite fragrance. It’s called Blood Oranges and is a beautifully fruity, fresh and zesty scent which lasts a very good amount of time on the skin for just a natural spray fragrance. It reminds me of a scent from DKNY which I bought years ago, and the fresh oranges aren’t too overpowering, but strong enough to linger and leave a lasting impression on the skin. One of the things I love about the Tili boxes is their ‘try it love it’ ethos, and the way that they introduce new brands to their boxes. Shay and Blue is one of those new brands which I’ve fallen for, and I’m really excited to try more scents from this boutique fragrance house.
The last of my favourites from the box is from Elemis. I’ve tried a couple of their skincare products in the past and have always been impressed with them so I was hoping that this Papaya Enzyme Peel wouldn’t disappoint…and it absolutely didn’t. Sticking with the theme of lovely smelling products, this facial peel is one of the most beautiful-smelling masks I have ever had the pleasure to use. It’s a tropical hit and is super moisturising on the skin after left on for ten minutes and washed off with warm water. I’m going to keep this as my once-weekly skin-treat; I love it.
So that’s it for my pick of the best from the latest Tili September. There’s also a make-up remover from Gatineau, a nude lipstick from Tarte, a lovely browny-pink liquid lipstick from Bare Minerals, and a serum from Caudalie.
For £20.00 I still think that the Tili September beauty box is one of the best beauty boxes out there right now, and I’m excited for the next one already!
