New Year, new skin? It feels a little weird talking about new year when we’re actually right at the end of January (HOW long did this month go on for by the way?!) But at the same time, we are still technically very much in a new year, and it’s therefore the perfect time to start a new skincare routine, or at least introduce some new products into your routine.
Latest in Beauty very kindly sent me one of their most recent collection boxes to try out, and I know, I say this every time with a new beauty box, but this is possibly one of my most favourite ones to date. (You can read my other reviews here and here)
The box contains nine products, some full size, some travel size, all for the face and body, and have a total combined value of £114.00….wowzers.
The full contents is as follows:
- 125 ml Garnier Micellar Water
- Simple Hydrating Booster
- 111 Skin Bio Cellulose Facial Treatment Mask
- Olay Regenerist 3 point day cream
- Burts Bees Tinted Lip Balm in ‘Rose’
- The Organic Pharmacy Lip and Eye Cream
- Omorovicza Refining Facial Polish
- Monu Moisture Rich Hydrating Mask
- The White Company Verveine Bath and Shower Gel
I’ve tried out almost all of the products within the past week or so since receiving the box, so here’s my first impressions…
The Garnier micellar water is not new for me I must admit, but it’s a very welcome addition. I’ve been using this stuff religiously since it first came out years ago and absolutely love it. I think it’s the best micellar water on the high street and I love the travel size bottle!
The Simple Hydrating Booster has been a very nice surprise as I wasn’t expecting it to be anything that special if I’m honest, but I’m really liking the formulation, it feels so soft and cooling on the skin and seems to pump moisture back in.
I am yet to try the 111 sheet mask (always tend to save fancy sheet masks for before going out or a special event), but I’m sure it’s fab and will report back if I’m really impressed.
Loving the Olay Regenerist 3 point day cream. Have heard a lot of good things about this. Sadly it’s only a dinky tube so probably not got enough in there to really trial it on the skin and see any improvements but it’s nice.
The Burts Bees tinted lip balm is really lovely. Super soft and nourishing on the lips in a pretty and natural shade.
I’m obsessed with The Organic Pharmacy’s lip and eye cream! It’s so lightweight and gentle but at the same time very rich in consistency and really feels like the perfect cream for lips and eyes.
The Omorovicza facial polish is possibly my least favourite product if I’m honest…Not too keen on the smell and I don’t feel like it’s particularly good at actually exfoliating.
I tried the Monu moisture mask a couple of nights ago and really liked it. With Royal Jelly and Evening Primrose Extract it’s perfect for plumping up and nourishing the skin.
And last but not least, The White Company’s Verveine Shower Gel is the most uplifting and freshly scented shower gel I’ve used in a long time. If you want to walk out of the shower smelling of oranges and lemons, then this is for you!
So that’s it for my little round-up of the New Year New Skin box from Latest in Beauty. It’s currently on sale for just £15.00 which is an utter bargain knowing that the contents’ value totals over £100.00. Would highly recommend.
